Attention: Inasmuch as these are authentic replications of natural stone and slate formations, it should be understood that stones do not make the best vertical surface for water to flow without any incident of what we refer to as “micro splashing”. This natural phenomenon is beyond our control. It is recommended that you adjust the water flow with the control valve to the lowest flow rate to get the effect of water flowing naturally over pebbles which will minimize the micro splashing. While we have taken great care to arrange the master mold of natural pebbles to minimize this, there is a high probability that some micro splashing will occur (more prevalent on the large model). You should experience a “break-in” period of about 4 days of continuous running of the fountain which will condition the surface. This will diminish the micro splashing to a very small level. We recommend that you DO NOT place this fountain above furniture, wooden floors, carpet or any other area that would be subject to damages caused by small droplets of water. In addition, if this should occur you must take care to maintain this area and, depending on the floor texture, beware of possible slip hazards.
